Thanksgiving weekend I made a few stops along the western part of North Carolina. I don't usually see the mountains after all the leaves have fallen, but I'm glad I did. It was beautiful! For me, being out in the midst of it all opens the mind and soothes the soul. The quote came to mind because nature takes things one day at a time. And I've come to a point in my life where I realize it is a good way to live whether you are a tree or a human!
